China's Ministry of Commerce announced it would launch a one-year expiry review to decide whether anti-dumping and countervailing duties
on solar polysilicon in Europe should be ended.
It will also extend a 2014 agreement
signed between China's Ministry of Commerce and Germany's Wacker Chemie.
PREVIOUSLY, WACKER PROMISED NOT TO SELL EUROPEAN-MADE POLYSILICON PRODUCTS
TO CHINA AT PRICES BELOW THE MINIMUM PRICE.
China's Ministry of Commerce prohibits the imposition of antidumping and countervailing duties
on this material.
Rudolf Staudigl, CEO of WACKER, said: "The extension of the current ruling means that we will be able to continue to supply high-quality materials to Chinese customers at competitive prices to produce high-efficiency PV modules
