    Introduction: one third of the world's population is overweight or obese, and this global obesity is threatening human health.obesity increases the risk of metabolic diseases such as nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).recently, researchers in China have found that maternal obesity can increase the risk of liver cancer in offspring.liver cancer is one of the most common cancers in the world and China. "the researchers also analyzed human liver cancer samples. they found that in human hepatocellular carcinoma, up-regulation of mir-27a-3p and down-regulation of ACSL1 / ALDH2 were negatively correlated with survival. Professor Huang pointed out: "our findings reveal the mechanism between maternal obesity and the development of diseases in offspring, which will help to explore the treatment and prevention measures of fetal and developmental diseases.
