Supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (approval numbers: 51931007, 51971196, 52071279), the research team of Professor Zhang Xiangyi from Yanshan University and Professor Yue Ming from Beijing University of Technology, the research team of Xia Weixing from Ningbo Institute of Materials, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Purdue University in the United States Through the cooperation of personnel, through the construction of a gradient ordered structure, a new mechanism of directional magnetization reversal is found in ferromagnetic materials, which has obtained the highest energy density (magnetic energy product) of current isotropic permanent magnetic materials

The development of green energy technologies such as electric vehicles and wind power generation is one of the key ways to solve major challenges such as energy crisis, environmental pollution and global warming faced by human society

In order to solve this scientific problem, the researchers of Yanshan University and their cooperative team adopted the strategy of structural element order structure, by arranging the grain size of permanent magnet materials in an orderly manner, in the Nd 2 Fe 14 B/a-Fe gradient nanometer A directional magnetization reversal mechanism that is completely different from the traditional random and uneven magnetization reversal is found in the material, that is, the magnetization reversal starts from the large crystal grains, and then gradually develops orderly to the small crystal grain area (Figure a)
