    The study took the 518 Ma Mariana-type (also known as IBM-type) oceanic initial subduction ophiolite newly defined in the Altyn orogenic belt on the northern margin of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau as the entry point, and summarized the numerous East Asian continents located on the northern margin of the Gondwana continent.
    The temporal and spatial changes of geological events recorded in the block suggest that the initial subduction of the main ocean basin of the original Tethys Ocean occurred at 530-520 Ma, which corresponds to the slab retreat in the subduction zone on the southern and western margins of the Gondwana continent.
    This suggests that a global tectonic linkage event occurred in 530-520 Ma
    .


    At the same time, the study summarized the same type of ophiolite known globally, combined with the simulation results of the dynamics of this type of ophiolite, and found that the decrease in mantle temperature and the increase in slab strength determine this type of ophiolite.
