    Supported metal nano-catalysts are an important class of catalysts, which are widely used in petrochemical, coal chemical, fine chemical, environmental and other fields
    .


    Achieving high selectivity is the key to achieving precise catalysis.


    In response to the above-mentioned problems, the research group first used the characteristics of precise preparation of atomic layer deposition (ALD) technology to prepare Pt/SiO 2 catalysts with different Pt particle sizes , and found that this series of catalysts are used in the selective hydrogenation of halogenated nitrobenzene.
    The activity and selectivity of Pt particles are in a "seesaw" relationship with the size of the Pt particles
    .


    Through theoretical calculations, the adsorption and catalytic hydrogenation characteristics of the Pt(111), Pt(211), Pt 55 and Pt 147 model surfaces were comparatively studied, and the geometrical and electronic effects in the hydrogenation of p-chloronitrobenzene were revealed.


    The unique geometric structure and electronic structure properties of the single-shell bimetal core-shell catalyst provide an effective strategy for the future design of catalysts that maintain high precious metal utilization, high chemical selectivity and high activity
