Jiang Yu said that the study resequenced the whole genome of 111 yellow cattle from 22 representative local breeds in China and 8 samples of ancient yellow cattle 4,000 years ago at the Shixuan site in Shaanxi Province, and downloaded and compared the whole genome data of 149 individuals from 27 cattle species abroad. For the first time, the paper proves that the world's cattle can be divided into at least five distinct groups, namely, european common cattle, Eurasian common cattle, East Asian common cattle, southern China tumor cattle and Indian tumor cattle.
