Sinochem News News on February 21, news came from the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology that the committee has drafted the "Chongqing Chemical Industry High-Quality Development Action Plan (2021-2025)" (hereinafter referred to as the "Action Plan") and solicit opinions from the community

According to reports, during the "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan" period, the development scale of Chongqing's chemical industry continued to expand.

"Focusing on the automobile, electronics, equipment and other industries, as well as the needs of urban construction, residents' consumption and other fields, developing new chemical materials such as high-performance resins and high-performance coatings, and cultivating the biochemical industry, is the key to the development of the city's chemical industry during the 14th Five-Year Plan.

According to the "Action Plan", the Chongqing chemical industry will focus on four aspects: building an advantageous industrial chain of synthetic materials, expanding the scale of special chemicals, improving the quality and efficiency of the development of basic chemicals, and cultivating and developing biochemical products

At that time, Chongqing will improve the overall innovation capability of the industry, build a green chemical development system, implement carbon dioxide emission reduction actions, deepen the integration of information technology and industry, cultivate competitive leading enterprises, improve industry safety management and control capabilities, and optimize industrial development layout.

The "Action Plan" also proposes that Chongqing will integrate existing municipal-level special funds for industrial support and technological innovation, and increase support for chemical enterprises' technological transformation, high-end product development, and intelligent manufacturing.
