On November 8, Clariant announced the launch of CliMate
, a product carbon footprint (PCF) calculation tool.
According to Clariant, the tool will enable Clariant to provide consistent cradle-to-gate greenhouse gas emissions data
for hundreds of finished products and solutions in its portfolio in accordance with the ISO 14067 standard.
CliMate uses industry-leading PCF computing standards, including ISO14067
, one of the most commonly used in the field.
CliMate is certified
by the independent certification body Rheinland Group.
Clariant's in-house team of experts developed this customized solution
using existing GHG tracking system information and incorporating product formulations with the support of industry experts.
"The launch of CliMate enables us to meet our customers' growing carbon footprint computing needs and support them in achieving their carbon reduction goals
," said Richard Han, Chief Technology and Sustainability Officer at Clariant.
Magri, Chief Procurement Officer of Clariant, said: "As a member of
