Eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE) is a chronic allergic inflammatory disease mediated by heterologous antigens.

Researchers conducted a prospective observational study on children with EoE who were treated with a single food diet (1FED) that eliminated all CMPs in the diet .

A total of 41 children (76% boys) underwent the 1FED experiment and underwent endoscopy.

This study confirms that a single-food diet that eliminates foods containing CMP from the diet can induce more than 50% of EoE children to obtain histological remission, and relieve clinical symptoms and endoscopic abnormalities.
