    RESULTS: A total of 535 children were enrolled [326 (69%) with hematological malignancies and 209 (31%) with solid malignancies] with a median follow-up of 66 mont.


     

    This study demonstrates that selenium deficiency independently predicts adverse outcomes in childhood cancers, especially hematological malignanci.
