On April 14, Sinopec announced that the Weirong shale gas field with proven reserves of more than 100 billion cubic meters - China's first deep shale gas field development and construction project has been fully rolled out.

Weirong shale gas field is located in Neijiang City and Zigong City, Sichuan Province, with an average buried depth of 3750 meters.

The construction of the Weirong shale gas field is carried out in two phases.

Sinopec Southwest Oil & Gas Branch implements an integrated operation mechanism of "construction-production-sales" and full-process cost management, and coordinates the promotion of production and operation, technical support, material supply, cost reduction and efficiency enhancement, quality control, and pipeline network export.

At the same time, the Southwest Oil & Gas Branch fully implemented the green enterprise action plan, using well factories to significantly reduce land use; applying grid power systems to reduce energy consumption while reducing exhaust gas emissions and noise pollution; applying fracturing flowback fluid pipe transfer and recycling systems, extremely Significantly reduce the amount of surface water intake; implement non-land collection of oily rock cuttings and waste oil-based mud and comprehensive utilization of resources to create a green first-class large gas field in an all-round way.
