Coatings and adhesive products with high VOC content will be withdrawn from Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei.

The first regional standard in China, the Building
Coatings
and Adhesive Volatile Organic Compound Limit LimitS (DB11/3005-2017), will be implemented on September 1, 2017, when all types of construction coatings and adhesives produced, sold and used in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region should meet the VOC limits, test methods and packaging markrequirements set out in this standard. The implementation of the new standard will promote the high VOC content of
building coatings
and adhesive products to withdraw from the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, and will guide Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei production enterprises to adopt low VOC content of raw materials and advanced production technology, product structure upgrading, to provide the market with the standard products, guide sales units to sell standard products, guide construction projects and individual consumers to use standard products, in order to achieve the purpose of reducing emissions from VOC source.It is understood that the "building paint and adhesive volatile organic compound content limit standards" by the Beijing Municipal Environmental Protection Bureau, Tianjin Municipal Environmental Protection Bureau, Hebei Province Environmental Protection Department, Beijing Municipal Quality and Technical Supervision Bureau, Tianjin Municipal Market and Quality Supervision Commission, Hebei Provincial Quality and Technical Supervision Bureau jointly organized, Beijing Environmental Protection Research Institute, Beijing Building Materials Inspection Institute (BMT) and other units, is the first time published regional standards, but also the Beijing-Tianjin region in the field of environmental protection, the full-text mandatory local standards.
