, compared with conventional hand planting, the group of machine-inserted rice plants was large, the individual growth was small, and the risk of inverting increased. Recently, the rice cultivation task force of Nanjing Agricultural University made it clear that compact rice varieties are more resistant to nitrogen and reverse under the condition of machine insertation. The study
in the Journal of Agricultural Sciences, No. 1 of 2021.
The study used 22 hybrid indica, 22 conventional indica and 2 indica hybrid rice cultivated and planted in large areas in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River in the past 30 years as materials, and set 3 nitrogen fertilizer levels (0, 150, 300 kg ha
), using the transfer method of carpet seedling machine insertion, from the inverted related force index, morphological index and material transfer.
study found that the inverted index (LI) of hybrid rice (hybrid indica and indica) was higher than that of conventional indica sources due to the high differences in strains. The LI difference between conventional indica varieties is caused by the section module, i.e. the thick stem. The source of difference between hybrid indica LI is significantly higher than that of indica hybrid rice, and the source of difference between hybrid indica varieties is mainly the high surface output rate of stem and indica material. The analysis found that the surface output rate of the stem material of the compact species was low.
study also found that nitrogen had little effect on the strains and LI of compact indica hybrid rice or conventional indica, while the effect on hybrid indica varied greatly from variety to variety. The hybrid rice varieties with compact strains increased with the amount of nitrogen used, and the strain type and LI changed less, while the loose varieties were looser and LI increased significantly. Therefore, it is considered that compact strain varieties are suitable as nitrogen-resistant varieties under the condition of machine insertation. (Source: Wang Fang, China Science Journal)
