The green synthesis technology development and industrialization project ofvitamin D ₃

Vitamin D₃ series products, including VD₃ , 25- hydroxyVD₃ , 1α - hydroxyVD₃ , 1α ,25-dihydroxyVD₃, are the drugs of choice for the treatment of osteoporosis and other diseases, with global sales of US$2.

In order to solve the above problems, after 13 years of joint research, the project team pioneered a new synthesis process for 25-hydroxy VD ₃ , comprehensively improved the production process level of VD ₃ , and invented selective hydroxylation, air catalytic oxidation, reduction and dehydration, etc.

The project has obtained 12 invention patents from China, the United States, Europe, Japan, etc.

At present, the annual output of pure VD ₃produced by Zhejiang Garden Group reaches 75 tons, with a global market share of 40%; the annual output of pure 25-hydroxy VD ₃ is 15.
