the maternal mortality rate decreased from 51.3/100000 in 2002 to 26.1/100000 in 2011; the infant mortality rate from 51.3/100000 in 2002 to 26.1/100000 in 2011 In 2002, 29.2 ‰ fell to 12.1 ‰ in 2011 The continuous development of China's health industry and the continuous improvement of the national health level are closely related to the efforts and contributions of the pharmaceutical industry The healthy development of the pharmaceutical industry is of great significance, not only related to the health and quality of life of the people, but also related to social stability and economic development For this reason, Boao Forum for Asia 2014 annual meeting organized important pharmaceutical enterprises at home and abroad to hold a roundtable meeting of CEOs of pharmaceutical industry The purpose of this meeting is to explore how the pharmaceutical industry and pharmaceutical enterprises should develop and act in the context of individual commercial bribery events in the pharmaceutical industry The meeting held that the pharmaceutical industry and pharmaceutical enterprises should be highly self-discipline and law-abiding, and constantly regulate their own research and development, production, operation and other behaviors; on this basis, it called on the government to create and maintain a good ecological environment, so that outstanding, law-abiding and compliant pharmaceutical enterprises can get more development opportunities and better fulfill their social responsibilities After in-depth discussion, the participants reached the following consensus and put forward relevant initiatives 1、 All colleagues in the pharmaceutical industry shall abide by the international and domestic ethical standards and laws and regulations of the pharmaceutical industry The meeting called on all stakeholders in the pharmaceutical industry to follow the principle of "focusing on health care and patients, integrity, independence, legality, transparency and responsibility", and make contributions to the effective protection of people's life and health, and the promotion of health and sustainable development of the pharmaceutical industry in all countries and the world All pharmaceutical enterprises should adhere to a high sense of social responsibility, consciously abide by and implement the provisions of the relevant laws and regulations of drug management in their own countries and other countries, abide by the relevant business ethics, take patients as the center, engage in drug research and development, production, operation and other activities in good faith and law-abiding, ensure that the quality of drugs meets the standards, provide safer and more effective drugs for patients, and maintain People's rights and interests in life and health The pharmaceutical industry organization shall establish and improve the industry self-discipline mechanism, and urge the production and operation activities of the pharmaceutical member enterprises of the organization to conform to the relevant ethical standards, laws and regulations 2、 It is suggested that governments should create an ecological environment conducive to the development of the pharmaceutical industry The meeting called on governments of all countries to establish a fair and just ecological environment conducive to the innovation and development of medicine, protect the legitimate rights and interests of enterprises abiding by business ethics, and promote the formation of medicine and health industry by improving the systems and mechanisms of drug research and development, production, operation, procurement, payment, use and other links, strictly enforcing the law, and administrating according to law To become a patient-centered, social development for the responsibility of the industry The meeting proposed that the government encourage pharmaceutical industry organizations, pharmaceutical enterprises and medical institutions, medical personnel related organizations to cooperate in medical education, carry out necessary medical education, and improve the medical level and service ability of medical personnel 3、 Promote the communication and understanding between the government and the pharmaceutical industry, advocate to give full play to the role of relevant industry organizations, establish a platform for dialogue between the pharmaceutical industry, pharmaceutical enterprises and government departments, create exchange opportunities, and enhance communication and contact between the two sides The pharmaceutical industry, government and industry organizations should make their own efforts to improve the relevant system of drug management, optimize the ecological environment of the pharmaceutical industry, and ultimately promote the healthy development of the pharmaceutical industry and improve the national health level
