According to the initial plan, the project is divided into four functional areas: hydrogen energy operation area, LNG (liquefied natural gas) operation area, bus stop and Yijie cross-border integrated service area.

It is worth mentioning that Dalian’s hydrogen energy development has outstanding advantages such as independent control of technology and talents, sufficient low-cost hydrogen supply, complete industrial chain, and rich typical demonstration application scenarios.

It is reported that, in order to increase the development and application of hydrogen energy technology and to comply with the development trend of hydrogen energy, the Dalian Free Trade Area has listed hydrogen energy as an important new energy development direction, and formulated and implemented the "Dalian Free Trade Area Hydrogen Fuel Cell Vehicles and Related "Industrial Development Plan", actively build a hydrogen energy industry chain and economic ecosystem.

At present, the Dalian Free Trade Zone is constructing a hydrogen energy demonstration park to vigorously develop hydrogen energy technology research and development and application.
At the same time, deepen cooperation with Sinopec Group in the field of new energy and accelerate the pace of hydrogen energy network layout.
According to the plan, from 2021 to 2025, the Dalian Free Trade Zone will build 3-5 hydrogen refueling stations and carry out pilot demonstration operations of fuel cell buses, logistics and other vehicles.
