Cosco plans to build a new polyurethane dispersion and polyester resin plant in Shanghai

On February 5th Cosco announced that it would build a new polyurethane dispersion (PUD) production facility at its Integrated Base in Shanghai to meet the growing demand for environmentally friendly coatings and adhesives in the Asia Pacific region. At the same time, the company plans to build a new polyester resin production line at its Shanghai base to provide raw materials for PUD. The new plant is expected to be completed by 2024

In the future, customers will continue to rely on water-based product systems with equally good performance and more sustainable products in place of solvent-based products. We have the ability to produce a variety of products, high flexibility, to meet many different requirements. This low solvent product will also play an important role in the production of textile coatings and fiber-reinforced plastics. ”
