The patients included in this study were patients who were diagnosed with clinical stage I-III rectal cancer and received radical resection between 2010 and 2018.
Diagnose infection
Of the 924 eligible patients, 312 patients were matched (grouping situation: 100 patients receiving blood transfusion and 212 patients not receiving blood transfusion).
This study confirmed through a retrospective investigation that the perioperative blood transfusion of patients with rectal cancer has nothing to do with poor disease-free survival, but it is related to poor overall survival.
