According to Taiwanese media, one of the world's largest food suppliers, Del Monte of the United States , has ordered 600 tons of Taiwanese Pingtung pineapples

    .
So far this year, Pingtung has exported 7,500 tons of pineapples to Japan, a record high
    .
This is the first purchase of Pingtung pineapples by the American company Del Monte, which is expected to send 48 containers within 3 months, totaling 600 tons of pineapples
    .

Pingtung County in southern Taiwan is the largest pineapple producing area in Taiwan.
The main production season is from February to June every year
    .
The local pineapple planting area is 3,596 hectares, with an annual output of about 120,000 tons
