Some bio-based VOC-free polymer coatings give fatty triglycerides water resistance and acceptable oil resistance.
Only textiles coated with high M3T content (total) polymethyl acrylates are highly exclusive to olive oil
Fluorine-containing compounds dominate the water-rejected textile finishing market due to their excellent performance,

. However, fluoride releases harmful substances. In a new paper, a series of fluorine-free, low surface energy and some bio-based (co) polymethyl acrylates and symptoms based on methyl acrylic 3- (trimethyl methyl (trimethylsilane) methyl-silane) propylene) M3T and methyl acrylic 18-alkyl esters were successfully synthesized. In addition, the granularity, particle size distribution and stability of the development emulsion have been evaluated.
Fluorine-free M3T /SMA (total) polymethyl acrylates have been applied to cotton fabrics by filling several product doses and have been metallised with coated textiles by scanning electron microscopes (SEMs), EDS element maps, X-ray fluorescence (XRF) and water. The static contact angle measurements of olive oil are WCA and OCA, respectively.
A high static water contact angle
Finally, the performance of fabrics treated with the new M3T/SMA (total) polymethyl acrylates has been evaluated and compared with fabrics made with conventional fluorinated chemicals. All synthetic (total) polymethyl acrylates provide high static water contact angles and excellent solvent-water separation efficiency for coated substrates. However, only textiles coated with (co) polymethyl acrylates with higher M3T content are highly repellent of olive oil and can keep oil droplets on the surface for longer periods of time. This time-varying wetting of olive oil observed for low copolymers on M3T units can be attributed to: i) the free energy of the coating surface over time due to the re orientation of the SMA hard fat-based side chain during contact over time. Using olive
