    Of the 25,795 eligible patients, the majority were male, mostly low-income, mostly urban, and had a Charlson comorbidity score of 0 or 1


     

    This study confirms that readmissions are associated with opioid use in AP patients, who have higher morbidity and in-hospital mortality and impose a significant financial burden on the U.
