Up to 60% of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) patients report fatigue, and 50% meet the criteria for clinical insomnia.

To this end, researchers from the United States conducted a randomized controlled trial to test the feasibility of behavioral therapy in the treatment of insomnia in patients with IBS and poor sleep.
A total of 25 participants were included in the study, and they were randomly assigned.
In summary, this pilot study demonstrates the feasibility/acceptability of transient behavior therapy for patients with IBS and poor sleep.
