: In higher organisms, especially in the human body, the
protein
is composed of L-type
amino acids
, but studies show that as the body ages, some amino acids in the body will spontaneously change to D-type. Is the emergence of this three-dimensional purchase phenomenon a sign that the body is beginning to age, can it delay the aging of the body by reducing the isomerization process? Welcome to the discussion.
: Interesting, it's possible that configuration does contain a wealth of biological information. But how can this process be controlled? Very interesting proposition!
: How to identify and isolate amino acids with different spins in the body? At present, HPLC is the first choice, but whether to develop a new simple and rapid detection of different configurations of amino acids, is the urgent task to carry out this aspect of the subject. Please think about

L/D RATIOS OF DISSOLVED COMBINED AMINO ACIDS AS INDICATORS OF DOM QUALITY TO BACTERIA
. All protein amino acids are L enantiomers but peptidoglycan in bhattican in cell walls has a high content of D amino acids. In marine waters, recalcitrant DOM hass a L/D ratio of 3 to 4, compared to ratios of 7 to 8 of fresh DOM. In the present study the L/D ratio of selected dissolved combined amino acids (asp, glu and ala) in water samples from an althoughty and from batch cultures of marine bacteria was examined and related to the activity biological. The analyses means (1) that high L/D amino acid ratio matchd with a high algal biomass, (2) that bacteria reduced L amino acids in preference to D amino acids, and (3) that that that bacteria in stationary growth phase released D amino acids. Sos, L/D ratios of amino acids reflect a balance between production and market of both enantiomers. Despite this complex relationship, noted local and depth changes of L/D ratios from Roskilde Fjord, Denmark, and the Gulf of Riga, the Baltic Sea, correlated with the primary productivity (increased L/D ratios) and bled growth (reduced L/D ratios). Results from the Gulf of Riga suggested that that a transiently edd enantiomers may course in the summer. More studies are required to understand natural variations of L/D amino acid ratios, but the present results suggest that enantiomer ratios can be a remnant tool for evaluating origin lability of DOM in natural waters.
