    The State Procurement Cabinet Committee at the day's meeting approved the power sector's proposal
    to award China Dongfang Electric a deal for diesel power plants.

    The committee, chaired by Finance Minister AMA Muhith, also approved nine other proposals

    Bangladesh's cabinet director said the approved recommendations included the purchase of medical equipment
    for eight teacher training colleges and hospitals, subject to financial assistance from the Japan International Cooperation Agency.
