Drilling of "Underground Mount Everest" - Key technologies for drilling and completion of ultra-deep and complex oil and gas reservoirs in the Special Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress Project

Ultra-deep oil and gas has become an important alternative energy source in the world, and 83% of ultra-deep oil and gas in China are yet to be proven and developed

The project is organized by China National Petroleum Corporation Tarim Oilfield Branch, China National Petroleum Corporation Engineering Technology Research Institute Co.

According to reports, the ultra-deep oil and gas buried at a depth of 6,000-10,000 meters in the Tarim Basin amounts to 10.

To this end, PetroChina has continued to set up projects for more than ten years, and finally overcome three major technical problems in drilling and completion, realizing "successful drilling, fast drilling, and good construction"

Secondly, the project invented three sets of rapid drilling technologies for complex and difficult-to-drill formations

Again, this project creates wellbore integrity control technology for extreme environments

According to reports, the project has obtained a total of 48 invention patents, formulated 20 national and industry standards, and formed three major technological innovation patent groups and standard systems.
