Sinochem News News on September 7, DuPont announced that the company intends to continue to strengthen its investment in DuPont's Liveo medical and health solutions business in order to enhance its strength and increase production capacity
.
Eugenio Toccalino, Global Business Director of DuPont Medical Health and Specialty Lubrication, said that in order to meet customer needs and respond to the rapid development of the medical and health industry, DuPont is implementing an investment roadmap that covers the specialty medical and health market, including medical equipment, biopharmaceutical processes and pharmaceuticals.
Toccalino said that DuPont will add multiple Liveo product lines to expand the regional production capacity layout
.
The company will add multiple elastomer blending equipment at the Medical and Health Industry Material Dedicated Base (HIMS) in Hemlock, Michigan, USA, and add a molded component (OMA) production device at the HIMS base.
It is reported that the mixing equipment will be put into use on September 29
.
This move will help the Liveo medical-grade silicone elastomer product line used in the field of special medical devices to achieve sustainable growth, expand the production of external preparation excipients, and support the development of Liveo pharmaceutical-grade silicone pipelines used in biopharmaceutical processes.
In addition, the medical and health base in the Cooper River Valley will be opened in the second quarter of 2022
.
The base will provide customers with highly reliable and sustainable medical solutions while ensuring customer business continuity
Toccalino said that with the deployment of the above multiple investments, DuPont's medical and health business will build a stronger production capacity, ease the pressure on the supply chain, and help customers develop in their respective markets
