DuPont wants to build a new special materials base in China

DuPont has announced an investment of more than $80m to build a new manufacturing plant in Zhangjiagang, in eastern China's Jiangsu province. The new plant will produce high-end composite engineering plastics and adhesives for customers in the transportation, electronics, industrial and consumer goods markets. The project is expected to be operational by 2020 and the expansion will extend to 2023

the site, located at the Yangzijiang International Chemical Industrial Park in Jiangsu Province, will support the growing demand for DuPont Transportation and Advanced Polymers business professional materials. Investment in new composite production lines will focus on DuPont polyamide engineering plastics, polyformaldehyde resins, thermoplastic polyesters, thermoplastic elastomers, lubricants and specialty silicone resin materials. The plant plans to install a new automotive adhesive production line and produce more specialty products in the future, making it DuPont's first multi-business manufacturing facility in China.Randy Stone, President of
