    Information-rich optical imaging can provide multi-dimensional information, enable observation and analysis of detection targets, and help insight into the mysterious and unknown world


    Although ultrafast imaging based on pump probes can obtain high-resolution multi-dimensional information, it cannot adequately capture unstable or irreversible transient scenes


    For many ultrafast phenomena, the spatial volume distribution and spectral composition of dynamic scenes are the keys to observe dynamic processes and explore potential mechanisms


    According to "Advanced Photonics", an international team led by Zhang Shian of the State Key Laboratory of Precision Spectroscopy has recently developed and experimentally demonstrated a Spectral Volume (SV) CUP system that can simultaneously capture 5D information through a single snapshot measurement


    In the x, y and z directions, the spatial resolution of the system is 0.


    SV-CUP combines computational imaging, compressed sensing and image processing to provide a new solution to improve the dimension of ultra-fast optical imaging
