this paper, an easy strategy for manufacturing durable ultra-hydrophobic stainless steel mesh (SH-M) is obtained by depositing candle soot and immersing the polymethylsiloxane solution.
high water contact angle
. The water contact angle of SH-M is 156 degrees and the roll-down angle is 3 degrees. In addition, the surface remains ultra-hydrophobic at water temperatures of 0-50 degrees C and almost corrosive water-like media. What's more, the surface remains at a high water contact angle (>140 degrees) under water temperature and mechanical durability tests at 50-90 degrees C.
