Eat more mushrooms and less cancer |
Next time you make a salad, you should probably consider adding more mushrooms.
The research system evaluated and analyzed the results of 17 cancer researches published from 1966 to 2020.
Mushrooms are rich in vitamins, nutrients and antioxidants.
Although Shiitake, Pleurotus ostreatus, Maitake Mushroom, and Pleurotus eryngii contain higher ergothioine amino acids than white mushrooms, cream mushrooms, and portobello mushrooms, researchers have found that people can add any type of mushroom to their daily diet.
According to the results of this study, people who eat 18 grams of mushrooms a day have a 45% lower risk of cancer than those who do not eat mushrooms.
"Mushrooms are the highest dietary source of ergothione amino acids.
When examining specific cancers, the researchers noticed that people who regularly eat mushrooms have a significantly lower risk of breast cancer, indicating that it has the strongest correlation with breast cancer.
"In general, these findings provide important evidence for the anti-cancer effects of mushrooms," said study co-author John Richie.
