Original title: Eating nuts a day boosts cognitive awareness by 60
According to a new study published in the journal Nutritional Health and Aging, a new study from the University of South Australia suggests that adding 10 grams of nuts a day can help boost cognitive function in the brain by 60 per cent.
The researchers in the study, who looked at the amount of nuts consumed daily by 4,822 Asians over the age of 55, found that those who ate more than 10g of nuts a day had better memory and reasoning skills, and that those who ate two teaspoons of nuts a day had 60 percent better brain cognitive function than those who did not. The study also found that eating nuts could also prevent diseases in older people such as Alzheimer's disease.
