Economic operation of the automotive industry in November 2020

In November 2020, China's auto market continued to maintain a high rate of growth in production and sales, including the new energy vehicle market outstanding performance, the month's sales volume increased more than 1 times year-on-year, the cumulative sales growth rate from negative to positive.
November, auto sales increased 12.6% year-on-year, while auto production and sales reached 2.847 million units and 2.77 million units, respectively, up 9.6% and 12.6% year-on-year, respectively.
January-November, auto production and sales reached 22.372 million units and 22.47 million units, respectively, down 3% and 2.9% year-on-year, respectively.
(i) Passenger car sales increased by 11.6% YoY in November, while passenger car production and sales reached 2.329 million units and 2.297 million units, respectively, up 7.5% YoY and 11.6% YoY.
models, car production and sales completed 1.048 million units and 1.041 million units, respectively, up 7.2% and 8.5% YoY, while SUV production and sales completed 1.106 million units and 1.09 million units, respectively, up 9.9% and 15% YoY MPV production and sales were 132,000 units and 127,000 units, respectively, with production down 9.3% YoY and sales up 3% YoY, while crossover passenger car production and sales were 43,000 units and 39,000 units, respectively, up 18% and 11.4% YoY.
January-November, passenger car production and sales were 1.7651 million units and 17.793 million units, respectively, down 8.1% and 7.6% year-on-year, respectively. By
models, car production and sales completed 8.138 million units and 8.218 million units, respectively, down 11.8% and 11.3% YoY, while SUV production and sales completed 8.278 million units and 8.323 million units, respectively, down 1.2% yoY and 0. MPV production and sales completed 886,000 units and 911,000 units, respectively, down 28.6% and 26.3% YoY, while crossover passenger car production and sales completed 348,000 units and 341,000 units, respectively, down 3.4% and 3% YoY.
November, Chinese brand passenger car sales were 950,000 units, up 17.7% year-on-year, accounting for 41.4% of total passenger car sales, up 2.1 percentage points year-on-year.
January-November, China's brand passenger cars sold 6.703 million vehicles, down 10.7% Year-on-Year, accounting for 37.7% of total passenger car sales, and a 1.3 percentage point year-on-year decline.
, car sales were 1.659 million units, down 7.8% YoY, with a market share of 20.2%; SUV sales were 4.082 million units, down 7.8% YoY, with a market share of 49.1%; and MPV sales were 629,000 units, down 32.9% YoY, with a market share of 68.1%.
(II) Commercial vehicle sales increased by 18% YoY in November, while commercial vehicle production and sales reached 518,000 units and 472,000 units, respectively, up 20.3% YoY and 18% YoY. In terms of
models, truck production and sales completed 466,000 units and 424,000 units, respectively, up 22.5% and 20.7% YoY, while passenger car production and sales completed 52,000 units and 48,000 units, respectively, with production up 3.9% YoY and sales down 1.7% YoY.
January-November, commercial vehicle production and sales reached 4.721 million units and 4.676 million units, respectively, an increase of 22.2% and 20.5% year-on-year, respectively. By
models, truck production and sales completed 4.33 million units and 4.29 million units, respectively, up 25.3% and 23.7% YoY, while passenger vehicle production and sales completed 391,000 units and 386,000 units, respectively, down 4.2% and 6.1% YoY.
sales of new energy vehicles increased by 104.9% year-on-year in November, while production and sales of new energy vehicles reached 198,000 and 200,000 units respectively, up 75.1% and 104.9% year-on-year, respectively.
models, production and sales of pure electric vehicles were 164,000 units and 167,000 units, respectively, an increase of 66.2% and 100.5% YoY; 33,000 vehicles, up 136.4% and 128.9% year-on-year, respectively, while fuel cell vehicle production and sales reached 288 and 290 vehicles, respectively, up 7.2 times and 28 times year-on-year.
January-November, new energy vehicle production and sales reached 1.119 million units and 1.109 million units, respectively, with production down 0.1% YoY and sales up 3.9% YoY. In
sub-models, the production and sales of pure electric vehicles were 890,000 units and 894,000 units, respectively, of which production decreased by 3.1% YoY and sales increased by 4.4% YoY; and 214,000 units, up 13.8% and 1.8% Year-on-Year, respectively, while fuel cell vehicle production and sales reached 935 and 948 units, respectively, down 34.4% and 29.1% YoY.
, January-October, the main business income of key enterprises increased by 3.4% YoY, and from January to October, key enterprises (groups) in the automotive industry achieved a cumulative revenue of 329.656 billion yuan, an increase of 3.4% YoY;
46.7 percent year-on-year in April and November, while vehicle exports rose 46.7 percent year-on-year to 122,000 vehicles.
models, passenger car exports were 96,000 units, up 58.6 percent year-on-year, while commercial vehicle exports were 26,000 units, up 15.1 percent year-on-year.
January-November, auto exports were 850,000 units, down 7.3% year-on-year.
