    Acceptable use of perfluorooctyl sulfonic acid and its salts and perfluorooctyl sulfonyl fluoride




    According to the "Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants", the acceptable use of PFOS and its salts and PFOS is the production and use of the following purposes:



    1.
    Photo imaging;



    2.
    Photoresist and anti-reflection coating for semiconductor devices;



    3.
    Etching agents for compound semiconductors and ceramic filter elements;



    4.
    Aviation hydraulic oil;



    5.
    Metal plating (hard metal plating) only for closed-loop systems;



    6.
    Certain medical equipment (such as production of ethylene tetrafluoroethylene copolymer (ETFE) layer and radio shielding ETFE, in vitro diagnostic medical equipment and CCD color filter);



    7.
    Fire extinguishing foam.
