Enagas to invest $4.8 billion in gas infrastructure and hydrogen projects

Enagas, the operator of Spain's natural gas grid, said on Tuesday that it expects to invest 4.

Under its strategic plan to 2030, the company plans to spend nearly 2.

When adding interconnection projects such as an underwater gas pipeline between Spain and Italy and a gas link between Spain and Portugal, the total investment would reach 4.

The interconnection projects are part of a 210 billion-euro plan unveiled by the European Commission in May to reduce reliance on fossil fuels in powerhouses and speed up the energy transition
