    Sinochem News News on August 30, the United Nations Environment Programme announced that as Algeria’s gas stations stopped supplying leaded gasoline in July this year, the world "officially" ended the use of this fuel that is harmful to health and polluting the environment


    The United Nations Environment Programme stated that ending the use of leaded gasoline is a "milestone" for global health and environmental protection


    Since it was put into use in 1922, gasoline containing tetraethyl lead has been widely used in countries all over the world for decades


    The United Nations Environment Programme has called on countries to ban leaded gasoline since 2002
