    Recently, Zhou Zhou's team from the School of Public Health of Zhejiang University published a report entitled "Paraquat exposure induces Parkinsonism by altering lipid profile and evoking neuroinflammation in the" in Environment International, a leading journal in environmental science midbrain" research paper.


    Paraquat (PQ) is one of the most widely used herbicides in the world and is still a common tool used in many developing countries to increase agricultural yields


    The research group first constructed an animal model of Parkinson's disease-like changes in mice induced by paraquat exposure, and evaluated the damage of brain dopaminergic neurons and motor function in mice.


    Tong Tong, a master's student at the School of Public Health of Zhejiang University School of Medicine, is the first author of the paper, and Professor Zhou Zhou of the School of Public Health of Zhejiang University and Professor Xu Shangcheng of the Chongqing Occupational Disease Prevention and Control Center are the co-corresponding authors
