    Eritrea's shrimp exports surged in February, Chinese sales doubled year-on-year

    According to statistics from the Ecuadorian Aquaculture Chamber of Commerce (CNA), in February 2022, Ecuador exported more than 82,000 tons of shrimp, an increase of 42% over the same period last year; the export value reached US$532 million, an increase of 88% over the same period last year

    Among them, about 44,000 tons were exported to China , an increase of 128% over the same period last year; the export value reached 273 million US dollars, an increase of 199% over the same period last year

    In the first two months of this year, Ecuador exported a total of 155,000 tons of shrimp products, even more than the total exports for the whole of 2013

    In February, the volume of Ecuadorian white shrimp sold to Europe and the United States reached 16,500 tons and 15,000 tons respectively, an increase of 20% and 21% over the same period of the previous year

    The unit price of Ecuadorian shrimp exports to the main market in February was $6.
