    The European Parliament passed a bill with a majority of 334 to 95, requiring the widespread use of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) at airports in the European Union


    In July 2021, the European Commission proposed an aviation fuel greening agreement as part of a "Fit for 55" policy package aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 55% by 2030 compared to 1990 levels


    On the other hand, the European Parliament expanded the scope of the SAF definition
