Recently, Evonik announced that the world's first industrial-grade biosurfactant rhamnolipid production plant officially broke ground in Slovakia

This construction project, with a planned investment of several hundred million euros, will enable Evonik to become a pioneer in the field of industrial-grade high-quality, sustainable biosurfactants, and will further strengthen its position as a strategic center for biotechnology at the Slovenská L'upca site

According to Evonik, the new plant in Slovenská L'upca will further expand Evonik's biotechnology platform, which is one of the focuses of Evonik's Nutrition and Consumer Chemicals business unit
