On July 11, Dow announced the signing of an official carbon partnership with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) for the first carbon reduction project in North Ameri.
The collaboration aims to create an energy modeling tool to accurately characterize the cost, energy reduction of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions of commercial structures using Firestone's innovative polyurethane roof insulati.
Nicoletta Piccolrovazzi, Circular Economy Marketing, Global Technology and Sustainability Director, Dow & Olympic Sports Solutions, said: "As cities grow rapidly, it is critical for our industry to evaluate and apply innovative materials, accelerating adoption can reduce Solutions for GHG emissions in the infrastructure mark.
The new energy modeling tool, due in 2020, was developed by Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) with funding from D.
"Partnering with Dow and working with ORNL to create modeling tools will help validate, quantify and enhance Firestone's commitment to sustainable building solutions," said Taylor Cole, president of Firestone Building Products, I.
The new integral building energy modeling tool will be used to further facilitate the application of Dow Polyurethane raw materials in Firestone ISOGARD roof insulati.
The agreement is the second of several common expectations in Dow's blueprint for carbon reduction cooperation announced last ye.
