[China Epoxy Resin Industry Online] May 18, 2006: Last year, my country became the world's No.
1 in "anti-dumping investigations" and "anti-dumping measures" for 11 consecutive years.
It has become the hardest hit area for anti-dumping.
This is the information disclosed in the anti-dumping report released by the World Trade Organization (WTO) the other day.
One third of the new anti-dumping cases involving China’s WTO report shows that, despite the overall decline in the number of global anti-dumping investigations and final rulings, the number of anti-dumping cases my country encountered last year was basically the same as in 2004.
Among them, the number of new anti-dumping measures was as high as 40, and the number of new anti-dumping investigations reached 55, accounting for about 30% of the global total, far higher than other WTO members.
Last year, my country also became more and more familiar with and used WTO legal rules to protect national industries.
The report shows that my country initiated 24 anti-dumping investigations last year, and finally ruled on 16 reports, involving major trading partners such as the European Union, the United States, and Japan.
The overall global anti-dumping volume is declining.
