"Five Actions" to Promote Green and Healthy Aquaculture

News from this newspaper (reporter Yuan Guofeng) In order to implement the deployment requirements of the CPC Central Committee to "promote green and healthy aquatic farming", the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs recently issued the "Notice of the General Office of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs on Implementing the "Five Actions" for the Promotion of Green and Healthy Aquaculture Technology" (hereinafter referred to as the "Notice"), it is decided to organize the implementation of the demonstration and promotion of the ecological and healthy breeding model, the promotion of the breeding tail water management model, the reduction of aquaculture drugs, the replacement of juvenile fish with compound feed and the improvement of the quality of the aquaculture seed industry during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period.

The "Notice" proposes that by the end of the "14th Five-Year Plan", the ecological and healthy aquaculture model will be widely used, the comprehensive utilization of resources and discharge of the tail water will basically be realized, the use of veterinary drugs for aquaculture will drop significantly, and the replacement rate of compound feed will increase significantly.

The "Notice" clarifies that the backbone bases of the "Five Actions" should be promoted to expand the content of actions and improve the quality level.
