1.
Flammable substances-solid, liquid, gas, no matter what kind of substance is burned, fundamentally speaking, it is produced combustible gas, combustible vapor or dust mixed with air (or combustion-supporting gas) under certain conditions Happened later
The combustion limit is expressed by the volume fraction of flammable gas or steam in the mixed gas
Second, the explosion limit
Combustible substances such as combustible gas, steam and dust (most active metal dusts are also combustible) and air (or combustion-supporting gas) must be uniformly mixed within a certain concentration range to form a premixed gas.
The explosion limit is expressed in the same way as the combustion limit
Three, the difference between burning and explosion
Combustion is formed by a flame, which normally spreads in combustible gas
In terms of time: explosion is shorter than combustion; explosion is completed in an instant, and combustion needs to spread
Spatially: explosions are usually carried out in confined conditions, and combustion is usually carried out in confined conditions
Power: For the same quality of combustibles, the power generated by explosion is much greater than that of combustion
Temperature: Explosion produces higher temperature than combustion
In terms of sound pressure: the explosion releases a large amount of gas, the volume of the object expands sharply, and the surrounding air pressure changes sharply.
Table 24-2 shows the combustion limits and explosion limits of some flammable gases
Table 24-2 The combustion limit and explosion limit of some flammable gases
The often-speaking explosion limit actually includes the combustion limit.
