At the media conference, Merck announced that the company will invest 1 billion yuan in China by 2025, promoting the rapid growth of electronic technology business in the Chinese market

The growth plan focuses on four key areas that complement each other, namely production scale, forward-looking technology, product mix and key capabilities

Among them, China has become the world's largest chip consumer market and the largest chip importer.

Building a new base in the Yangtze River Delta

Bi Kangming said that most of Merck's 1 billion investment will be invested in the Yangtze River Delta region centered on Shanghai, because this region is the leader of China's electronics industry, especially in the field of integrated circuit manufacturing

Merck will build a new flagship manufacturing base in the Yangtze River Delta region to produce electronic materials, Angaobo said

　　Cultivate local R&D talents
