Food retail sales accounted for 38.3% of Kazakhstan's total retail trade

KAZAKHSTAN, Jan. 27 (Xinhua) -- Kazakhstan's retail trade will total 11.6 trillion tenge ($27.6 billion) in 2020, up 2.6 percent year-on-year, according to data released by the Financial Industry Network.

By commodity category, non-food retail trade amounted to 7.1 trillion tringes, down 5.1% YoY, while food retail trade amounted to 4.4 trillion tringes, up 17.9% YoY, and the share of total retail trade rose to 38.3% (compared with 33.4% YoY).
