In order to crack down on the smuggling of "foreign garbage" and protect the ecological environment of our country, Yantai Customs strengthens the risk analysis of freight channels, strengthens the control of non-law-abiding enterprises and commodities with higher regulatory risks, and gives full play to the deterrent effect of inspection; Strengthen the whole customs "one game chess" consciousness, inspection, anti-smuggling, customs clearance, inspection and other departments closely cooperate, information sharing, improve the comprehensive effectiveness of supervision, the formation of the customs internal private forces; Increase the intensity of policy publicity and interpretation, take the form of external announcements, visits and other forms, so that enterprises to learn more about the state ban on imports, restrictions on imports, automatic licensing of imports of solid waste catalogue and related management regulations, to guide enterprises to operate in good faith in accordance with the law, and effectively "foreign garbage" outside the country.
Statistics, since 2013, Yantai Customs has detected 11 cases of illegal smuggling of solid waste, involving a total of 568,000 tons, a total of 390 tons of solid waste disposed of harmlessly by the environmental protection department, and 90.86 tons of solid waste returned from the country.
