Four-energy enterprises jointly promote clean energy projects in the United States

On October 19, Air Liquide, Chevron, LyondellBasel, and Uniper announced that four companies are conducting a joint research program that will evaluate and potentially advance the development of
clean hydrogen and ammonia production facilities on the U.
S.
Gulf Coast.
The clean hydrogen and ammonia production facility could support decarbonization applications in the region's industrial and transport sectors and expand clean ammonia exports, helping to increase the supply
of low-carbon electricity internationally, the four companies said.

According to the plans of the four companies, potential research projects aim to cover the end-to-end energy value chain and leverage each player's technical expertise
in production, operations, storage, distribution and export logistics.
Specifically, a consortium of the four companies will assess the potential to produce blue hydrogen from natural gas with carbon capture and storage facilities, as well as green hydrogen through green electrolysis, to supply markets
such as petrochemicals, power and transportation.
The consortium said the project could leverage existing infrastructure along the Gulf Coast to supply local industrial clusters with low-carbon hydrogen and low-carbon ammonia and support exports
to Europe and the Asia-Pacific region.
