The ACE submarine cable system is an international submarine cable system connecting 18 countries in Africa and Europe, with a total length of 17,000 kilometers, including France, Portugal, Canary Islands, Mauritania, Senegal, Gambia, Guinea, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Côte d'Ivoire, Benin, Ghana, Nigeria, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Sao Tome and Principe

The ACE Cable Project consortium is composed of telecom operators in the countries and regions through which it passes, with a total investment of more than US$700 million, partially financed by the World Bank
.
The agreement was signed on June 5, 2010, and the first phase was put into operation
on December 15, 2012.
