GE and Vietnam signed a cooperation agreement for liquefied natural gas power plants

GE signed a memorandum of understanding with a Vietnamese company on Saturday to develop advanced liquefied natural gas power plants
in Vietnam, according to an official GE announcement.

The two sides signed
at an event in Hanoi.

to Vietnam.

Under the memorandum of understanding signed with EVNGenco3 in Vietnam, GE will strive to provide its best-in-class gas turbine technology, equipment and services throughout the life of the project, with an estimated value of more than $1 billion
.

According to GE, Pacific Group, Power Engineering Consulting Joint Stock Company 2 and TTC Group, as well as Mitsubishi Corp.
's local subsidiaries, will also be involved in the project
.

GE said the Long Son LNG plant in Ba Ria-Vung province would provide 3,600-4,500 megawatts of electricity
to the country.
