Recently, in keeping with its promise of cleaner and more reliable power where it's needed most, GE announced the launch of GE Reservoir's comprehensive energy storage platform, a complete suite of customized storage solutions that help customers meet new challenges and pursue new opportunities for rapid change to diversify
the grid.
Back last year, GE launched the world's first hybrid gas turbine, which won several awards in the industry
.
This is also the first time GE has launched
advanced applications for hybrid electric gas turbines, wind hybrids and "black start" capabilities.
Last month, GE announced a new project with Arenko Group to build the world's largest energy storage system
in the UK.
"GE's Reservoir platform enables cost-effective distribution storage where and when it's needed most, helping GE leverage cleaner and more reliable power
," said GE's Vice President and Strategic Technology Officer.
It can be applied in most situations, from central grid systems to the most remote villages and communities
.
Reservoir also provides energy providers with new flexibility to more intelligently manage and leverage all their energy assets
.
”
GE's Reservoir platform, developed using innovative technology from GE Global Research Center, is a flexible and compact energy storage solution
for AC or DC-coupled systems.
The Reservoir solution combines GE's advanced technology and expertise
in plant control, power electronics, battery management systems, and plant electrical balancing.
All of this is backed
by GE's Performance Guarantee.
The ability to tap deep and broad technical expertise from GRC integrates unique power and digital technologies to make Reservoir a truly unique and differentiated solution
